Set on Tasmania’s rugged west coast, I Am A Lake is a coming of age story exploring the inextricably linked lives of Alice, Mum and Nugget. Alice is a young girl who knows her own mind; she knows she wants more, she perhaps knows more than she should, but she also knows there is something very big that she doesn’t know. Offering glimpses of humanity and compassion in a harsh landscape; I Am A Lake is a story that is both local and universal, compelling and confronting, and ultimately redemptive.
