The Light the Night Fundraiser for the Leukaemia Foundation is a fabulous family friendly event. Food & drink is available for purchase prior to the lantern walk. Lantern collection & entertainment begins at 7.15pm followed by the lantern lighting ceremony at 7.30pm. Lanterns available for purchase on the night at a cost of $20. Lanterns are free for those who have registered & raised over $20. Register or Donate here

RELIVE THE RIVALRY

Tasmania takes on Victoria/All Stars at UTAS Stadium in the Relive the Rivalry match to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania.
Former Hawthorn great Peter Hudson will coach the Tasmanian team, which includes such names as former high-flying Melbourne forward Russell Robertson, Ben Beams, Adrian Fletcher, Michael Gale, Sydney star Daryn Cresswell, former Hawthorn and Western Bulldog forward Paul Hudson, former Collingwood great Paul Williams, and ex Richmond goal-scoring star Matthew Richardson.
From 1.30pm, the Glenorchy under-16s will take on a representative team from the North-Eastern Football Union. From 3.30pm, the women will have their chance to showcase their talents with the North-West women’s premiers Latrobe taking on the runners-up of the women’s Northern competition, Evandale. Kick-off for the main match is set down for 5.30pm.

WELLNESS AWARENESS WALK

The Wellness Walk is about bringing a community together to not only raise awareness around mental health issues but to also honour those struggling with, and lost to depression. A gathering of open, caring and mindful friends, family and concerned community members showing that we are Stronger Together and that you are never alone. The walk will start outside the city park gates and conclude at the steps of the Town Hall. Following the walk there will be some speeches that will conclude the event.
