This concert guarantees fireworks in every respect with Handel’s celebratory Royal Fireworks Music – one of the glittering jewels of the Baroque – and sparkling arias from Giulio Cesare, Alcina and Samson, including “Let the bright Seraphim”, sung by Sara Macliver. Before Handel took London by storm, the British capital was in thrall to the music of Purcell, King Arthur being one of his finest and most popular works. Conducting the ensemble is Richard Egarr, Music Director of the renowned Academy of Ancient Music, making a welcome and much anticipated return visit to the TSO. TICKETS
